With just eight more stages ahead, the Spanish riders: Lorenzo, Elias, and Marquez lead their respective categories and have the opportunity to accomplish a treble for their country.
The Spanish Athletes Armada continues conquering sports, now the time seems to have come to Moto GP, where the wind keeps on blowing on their favor, and a historic treble from its riders: Jorge Lorenzo, Toni Elias, and Marc Marquez, is becoming more of a reality than a dream stage after stage. Their next stop is the Indianapolis Grand Prix this coming Sunday 29th, a racetrack that entered the circuit on September 14, 2008, and only has two editions disputed. From the three Spanish riders, only Jorge Lorenzo has been able to finish in first place. This happened in 2009.
Two of them, Lorenzo and Elias, have been able to attain a significant amount of points that gives them a fair enough error margin among their competitors. Specifically, Lorenzo enjoys a 77-point difference over Dani Pedrosa, his most serious opponent in the Moto GP class. In the Moto2 class the scenario for Elias is very similar to that of his fellow Spaniard, as he has a 55-point lead over Andrea Iannone. Only Marquez has no margin error, as his persecutors Pol Espargaro and Nicolas Terol follow him very closely, with just a 15 and 23 point difference between them.
