ninja is the sexiest bike ever built and one of the greatest … if not the great! when i ride my kawasaki i feel more rebel then i could ever be with a harley
“Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. is placing a technical hold on the 2011 Ninja ZX-10R sportbike,” reads the press release. “The company is proactively addressing a remedy which reflects Kawasaki’s commitment to excellence and its relationships with its highly valued customers and dealer network.”
@VVoodstockRider I think its because Melandri doesnt know how to drive a Kawasaki and they got bored of lose. But Kawasaki has the best 1000cc since 2008. And this one with 22 pounds lighter…. they will win the SBK next year y bet you that.
Understand that in no way was the last post an attempt to draw a direct correlation or comparison to the Hayabusa. Both are totally and completely different bikes. One thing that makes each identical is that neither can stop in stock form.
That Kawasaki would put such useless brakes on a motorcycle of any displacement, let alone the extremely potent 998cc ZX10R is proof that Japan is still pissed off about Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Once I actually learned how to ride a motorcycle, I traded in my Hayabusa on a 2006 ZX10R.
I’ve done several track days with it and have transformed it into my own personally customized race replica (Mostly through the removal of unnecessary bodywork, PC3, TRE, Braided lines, ZX14 calipers and BOZ Moria Exaust).
It’s an animal.
The biggest difference is a lower torque number from the Busa and a propensity to lift the front wheel exiting turns.
Damn that is a sexy machine, The only down fall is the new All Digital RPM Gauge, That would set me off, as dotted lights would be much harder to see then a needle.
It’s going to have to be very special to beat the S1000 BMW on the road, that bike is miles ahead in the game at the moment, not even the minging fireblade gets close and because it’s german it’s built for the taller rider; unlike Jap bikes that seem to get smaller every year.
Hey people I,m not trying to boast Buell bikes, never liked the anyway but this video of this new one is awsome and looks good too, verry fast lap for a twin superbike /watch?v=MkFzVMetlIg&feature=related
@VVoodstockRider cuz like kawasaki is so fast and crazy, if u put kawasaki with the other bikes it will just rape them cuz its too fast so it will be unfair
Maybe great for ride days at the track or street ‘race-look’ pose value, but I would pick so many other rides over this for the street. It’s going to sound like just another screaming I4, that we’ve all seen a million times before and really, everything about it is engineeered for warp speed stability and grip on a nice flat circuit. OK, Owning something so technically brilliant is awesome in itself, but I just think there are bikes with a lot more character for the street – and still quick
